Sunshine and Sticks and Slowing Down

What a beautiful day! We found sticks to hold, sunshine and shadows, and had to slow down because the roots hiding under the leaves tripped us up!

One of our traditions for muddy boots club is to chant "going on a bear hunt". The children like coming up with obstacles so well that our chant has evolved to the teacher saying "uh oh...." and a child then taking a turn and inventing such obstacles as "giant brooms trying to sweep us up"- and then when asked "what shall we do?" the child has an escape planned: "fly away" and we flap our arms. A few children were seated and making up their own bear hunt game.....

Until Next Time,
Michele
