Sticks and Leaves and Time

We took a look at the pond before we started out on our hike. We were looking for bubbles, which would tell us that there were fish, we thought!

A Murky Day

We went out into the cloudy day with a bag full of freshly made muffins to picnic with and our coats and boots on.

And then it was time for some rolling......

 and walking.....

and playing in the forts in the woods.

We're Outside!

There were many discoveries today-a bridge, forts, string, sticks long and short, and a "fire pit."

More Moments!

This afternoon was again awesome. The sky was a funny grey, but the forest was breezy and fun. We constructed a "pirate ship" from sticks and the children also found a LOOOOONG ship (a fallen tree) to ride and climb on.

This child was explaining the concept of a collapsed roof to these friends.

trees to shake

sticks can be oars!

this guy was happy he remembered his boots!

these children really look as though they are crossing a river-except for the innocent bystander.....
