a winter afternoon!

We bundled up and headed out to a spot near the school to roll in the snow, pick up sticks, climb on logs, and find some winter fun. The children weathered the cold well, and we spent just enough time outside before coming in for hot chocolate and cookies! There's a lot to discover in the winter woods, and we did our best to discover it!

something to look closely at

Out in a Bit of Snow

 Hills were to be slid or rolled down, footprints were to be looked at, and sticks were to be found! We got outside for a bit this afternoon, and found lots of animal tracks and even some tracks that were made "in the moment". We know that it's difficult to move in all that wonderful warm clothing, so we limited our walk to the woods. Still, it was just enough!

Outside Again!

A very muddy boots club today; we spent our time outside exploring the trees, finding pine needles, and slipping a bit in the mud. The children walked and climbed along, tried some jumping, and sat together banging on the rocks with sticks. The sun shined sometimes, the clouds blew through, and we walked along and stopped sometimes to play.
