This week muddy boots club was a refuge and destination for the PreK's. We've added an extra day, and more children, and our time in the woods is just right. I've combined scenes from Tuesday and Friday into one, so you'll see different weather gear but just as much action!

The Wonder of the Woods
We headed out to catch some cool breezes, cross a few bridges, and find a wonderful spot to settle in and explore in the woods. The children found some trees that had been "yarn bombed" over the summer, as well as bits of yarn about the ground to decorate with. We (teachers) initiated some building activity and recreated a shelter as well as a boat sort of shape-"tidying" for the season-and the children raced about, explored, dug in the ground, and were active and happy, and then restful and quiet in places.
Until Next Time,
Michele

First Time Muddy Boots!
We headed outside for a walk, some play, and lots of sticks and exploration. Muddy Boots club has just begun! We spent a few moments before we left to talk about walking together, using sticks (they can be as long as your arm!) and trying to cross a bridge safely. Then, out we went!
