A Muddy Hike!

We celebrated Earth Day today with a "buddy hike" in the morning, so we took a short hike in the woods with the children and ended our hike on the playground. The hike was a talkative friendly one! Ann was the fearless leader today and I had the camera at the end of the line-you'll have to recognize your children from the back!

Muddy Boots are Back!

We headed out to the woods for a hike and a stop to play. We were very excited to get outside and discover if there was any snow left! We listened to a tree or two, and some children heard songs, some children heard nothing, and some wondered how the tree made the sounds that it did.  We looked for birds, nests, and green signs of spring, and we SAW and WATCHED a snake! It was moving slow, and we gave it plenty of space to find a hiding place.
