Buddy Hike!

 We headed out for a walk with our buddies today, and it was great!We moved right along through our favorite trails, and ended with a thumbs up. ( It was difficult to take pictures on the run, though!)

One of Those Days

The pictures don't reflect it, but it was not altogether an easy experience being outside today. Sometimes a day feels tiresome, and we hope that being out in the cool sunshine will be restorative and cheering. Sometimes the cheering up just comes in bursts, and we have to catch those bursts  when we can! We did get outside and find some interesting fungus on leaves, really large leaves, and bridges to march back and forth on. The children looked closely at a grasshopper, and rustled through some deep layers of leaves.

An Afternoon in a Sunny Place

We head out into the woods and let the freedom of space and time together work it's magic with the children. They help to make a shelter, and off they go, together or alone, exploring, playing, making friends, talking together. It's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

AND We Got a Little Bit Muddy!

 We headed out into the woods to look closely at some things, shake trees so that we could catch leaves,  and cross a few bridges. After an inside morning, the outside was very inviting!

 There were some quiet moments as well, and time to sit on a rock. Thanks for sending in gear that could get wet and muddy, because we did!
